Upper Plank, how do I love thee…

Published on July 11th, 2007

It’s been a while since my last post and a couple of weeks since my last class. The usual excuses as to why are at the tip of my brain but does it really matter?

Anyway, I finally went again (I actually went 3 times in four days, so I really missed it) and as I was going through the poses, I realised how much I love it. There is one flow sequence in particular that makes me feel like I’m finally getting the hang of this yoga thing.

From down dog to upper plank to chataranga (knees, chest, chin to floor), to small cobra to down dog again. The transition from down dog to upper plank, in particular makes me feel good. It’s such a small thing, such an easy transition, buy I can almost feel the witness mind look at myself as I flow into upper plank pose. The awereness of my muscles as they effortlessly carry my body into the new pose, it’s almost like an out of body experience. I love that flow.

If you have a favorite flow or transition, please share in the comments.
